The heritage-listed Tote Building, located on the Tote Park site and built in 1938, has been protected and restored with a sympathetic yet contemporary refurbishment to become TOTE Bar & Dining.

From project inception, MVRC’s guiding principle has been to preserve and enhance the heritage character of the original Tote Building, which has unique stature and significance in Australian racing history.
The building is one of the earliest surviving examples of a totalisator (betting) facility and is identified as being of historical and architectural significance as one of the earliest surviving totes in Victoria.
